The dumping of the shoesOver the last few days, we noticed someone had left his or her shoes on one of the lawns near our place. After several days of seeing them out in the rain, we decided to bring out the snow shovel (ew! Don’t touch them with your hands! GROSS!) and put them to rest in the nearby dumpster. Mike did the heavy lifting while I documented our community service.

RIP dirty, old shoes.

Garbage shoes

We’ve added a new tradition to our Saturday mornings. After going to IHOP for delicious pancakes – side note – I will be eating nothing but pumpkin pancakes between now and Halloween – we’ve been driving out to Vandula Farmers Market in Delta. This is on the way to Ladner. Ladner is quickly becoming my favourite farm area. I love it out there very, very much.

The market has all sorts of fruits and veggies from local farms, and I did buy some tiny, sweet grapes imported from California. This market sells the most delicious, jumbo eggs from a farm in Mt. Lehman. We picked some up last week from the same market and these eggs taste better than any other eggs. They are creamy…almost buttery.

I had no idea eggs could taste so scrumptious.
